So,
I just finished writing up my press release and mission statement for the networking group I started – Babes in Business. Inspired by Jennifer Perkins’ Babes in Business Bonanza in Austin, TX, I wanted to help create a similar group in Central New York. The group meets monthly and will feature a different speaker everymonth taking about her experiences as a business owner. Anyway, I am very excited and have gotten some help from two fabulous women – Thanks Jodi and Laura. The next meeting will be September 27th (still figuring out a location) but it will be the last Thursday of every month. Our goal is to build a community of women who can act as mentors, friends, and provide support in the ever uncertain area of starting your own business. This group is open to any woman looking to start up her business, works for a business, or owns her own business.
Anyway, I’m super excited about it. I know I already said that but it is going to be great.
We are also putting together a myspace page. I’ll let you know when it’s up so you can add Babes in Business as a friend.
